As a Technical Consultant, Emma's mission is to make R&D tax claims as easy as possible for clients. Emma loves getting to know their innovative projects and walking them through the entire process step by step. By breaking down the complexities and handling the details, Emma gives them the confidence to focus on what they do best—creating and innovating. Emma's job is to take the stress and uncertainty out of the equation so they can fully reap the rewards of their hard work and big ideas.

With a PhD in microbiology specialising in novel antimicrobials and soil science, Emma spent 3 years in academia working on contaminated soil before transitioning to industry. As a principal scientist, she spent over 13 years growing a small spin-out into a successful SME. Along the way, she developed a deep appreciation for the challenges and triumphs of building a business and is passionate about learning new technologies. She now uses her experience to help innovative, technical companies thrive so they can focus on what they do best—pushing the boundaries of what's possible.

Outside of work, Emma is kept on her toes by her two kids and two dogs. They enjoy hiking through the stunning Scottish mountains and kayaking in lochs. She also passionate about genealogy and have traced herfamily tree all the way back to the 15th century!
